RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and motivate a team of servers, bartenders, and other food and beverage staff.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and a positive guest experience.
- Develop and implement efficient service procedures to optimise workflow.
- Schedule staff and manage labour costs.
- Ensure adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain inventory control of food and beverage supplies.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Assist in training new staff members.
- Maintain a clean and organised dining area.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
- May participate in food and beverage service, such as taking orders or serving tables.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry (experience in a fine dining/high-volume environment a plus).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers
- Proficiency in barista skills, including the ability to prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages with consistency and quality.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) preferred.
- Must be of legal drinking age if applicable.
- [Food Safety Certification] (e.g., ServSafe) a plus.
